Pagerank and KNN for Bibliographic Dataset

  • Pre-processed and cleaned archaic bibliogical data employing 11 EC2 nodes to perform MapSide Join and Reduce Join and obtained 5x Speedup.
  • Performed page-rank algorithm parallelly on 2GB dataset and concluded that highest Page Rank is different then the paper that has been cited the most.
  • Applied K Nearest Neighbor Algorithm paralley among 20 EC2 nodes to predict the keywords of any paper and concluded that the value of K, can tune the prediction for KNN significantly.

  • Developed a Bus Tracking Application utilizing real-time data from MBTA API and planning shortest route.
